Description
The units in this book provide resources for studying people from a range of religions and non-religious worldviews, with substantial teaching suggestions for teaching about Christians, Sikhs, Muslims and Jewish people. It looks at people in three categories:
- Religious figures (leaders, messengers or prophets) connected with origins of religions (e.g. Jesus, Guru Nanak, Prophet Muhammad)
- Religious leaders past and present; local, national and international (e.g. Reverend Kate Bottley, Queen Elizabeth II, Rabbi Julia Neuberger)
- People who put their beliefs into action in the way they live (e.g. Jo Cox, Christine Ohuruogu, Malala Yousafzai, Dr Hany El Banna)
